Helping to Build Better Lives

Timothy Dzurnak - Oak Hill's 2009 Student of the Year

"Timmy is an amazing student who inspired all of us who know him and witness his drive and determination - and his many accomplishments.  In the short time he has been using his power wheelchair, he has become an accomplished driver, one who periodically chases the principal around the corner.  He has also made huge academic gains, attending and participating in a fifth grade science class - even answering questions about gravity.  His reading skills are also improving.  He is on the move.  It is a privilege to know Timmy and to see him interact with our staff and students.  I must also praise the talented and dedicated stafff of Oak Hill School at Antolini.  They have made themselves and their students an integral and contributing part of our school community." - Kate Rieger, principal, Ann Antolini School, New Hartford
