Adopt an Oak Hill group home: give your time, your financial resources or both.
Oak Hill Adopt-A-Home program was established in 2005, following the success of many “Day of Caring” outings. The program offers individuals, businesses, foundations or trusts the opportunity to volunteer their time, financial resources or both to benefit community-based residential group homes serving people with multiple disabilities. How it Works
You decide which group home you would like to adopt;
We would set up a meeting with you and the residents and staff to learn their needs;
You would determine how much time and/or financial resources you would like to invest
What You Receive in Return
Renewed sense of self-worth
An expanded understanding of people with disabilities living in your community;
The satisfaction of knowing you have inspired; enriched; and deeply touched the people to whom you have given a part of yourself.
Incentives – a tax deductible contribution
Recognition by Oak Hill in the Adopt-A-Home program
J. Gladwin Cannon Trust is the first organization to adopt an Oak Hill group home. A generous grant to the Suffield Group Home that has enabled the addition of an enclosed porch so the residents can enjoy the outdoors without worry of inclement weather or insects.
